Our Campuses
Join us in the heart of San Francisco’s civic and arts district.
French American + International has two beautiful campuses that have established our school’s presence in one of the city’s fastest-growing and most dynamic neighborhoods, Hayes Valley. Our main campus, which serves Grades 1- 12, is located at 150 Oak Street, and our Maternelle campus, which serves PreK3- Kindergarten, is located at 1155 Page Street. While these campuses enhance our student’s learning, they do not confine it. Through our Urban Engagement Program, the city itself serves as a campus for our students to learn and grow.
Our main campus at 150 Oak Street is six stories tall, offering bright classrooms with dynamic views of the city. Inside, there are also three libraries, makerspaces including a design studio, science labs, art and music classrooms, two playgrounds, and many other spaces for dreams to come to life. Plus, the 630 solar modules on the roof of our main campus have produced a over 1 billion watt-hours of power to-date. Libraries play a central part in the intellectual and social life of our students, and act as hubs for research and inquiry, reading, collaboration, and creation. The school libraries offer a collaborative space where information, technology, and pedagogy come together to create a community of learners within and beyond the curriculum. Read more about our libraries.
Our makerspaces consist of the Tinker Space in the Lower School School (pictured here) and a Design Lab in the Middle and High School. They are sanctuaries where students are free to imagine and create without fear of failing. Through these hands-on experiential learning labs, we empower and encourage students to experiment in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art, and math while maintaining an alignment with the curriculum and school initiatives.
Our rooftop serves as a space for our high school students to take breaks, read or study in the sun, enjoy lunch, and take in city views.
Our Maternelle at 1155 Page Street is a dedicated early childhood campus providing a warm, nurturing welcome for our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students and families. Our Maternelle offers light-filled classrooms, two age-specific playgrounds, and a gorgeous indoor movement studio. Each of the 9 classrooms and the large multipurpose room have direct access to the outdoors.
Here's one of the age-specific playgrounds that spark joy at the Maternelle.
The Dennis Gallagher Arts Pavilion at 66 Page Street, part of our main campus at 150 Oak, features inspired classrooms for visual art (including painting, sculpture, photography, videography, and more), theater, and music; recording studios; media labs; and a black box theater.
Our black box theater within our Arts Pavilion allows our theater performances to come to life.
Our athletics facilities span from our main campus at 150 Oak to include our Jaguar Performance Lab, a complete athletic conditioning weight room.
Just across the street from our main building at 150 Oak, our indoor and outdoor basketball courts at 151 Oak serve as athletics facilities and community meeting spaces.
Outside of the classroom, adventure awaits. Each campus features outdoor areas to play and learn.
