FALL SPORTS START IN LESS THAN A MONTH! |
Make sure you're cleared to play on the first day of the fall season! Women's+ Volleyball and Men's+ Soccer start on Monday, August 8. Women's+ Tennis and Cross Country start on Monday, August 15. See below for specific information for Club Sailing. If you are going to be late to evaluations, please let us know by filling this form out now. - Signup on FamilyID. It is important that you signup for sports for the entire year. If you are thinking of participating, signup so you get preseason information. We can change your preference later.
- Annual Physical. It is a CA state requirement for all high school student-athletes to have a yearly physical on file with the Athletic Department. Your physical is good for 1 calendar year.
- Check your team's schedule. These are still being updated with practice details, but you can get a good idea of what the season will look like on those pages. Transportation is not provided to most events before the official start of school (8/29).
- Check THE PASSPORT TO PLAY to make sure you're cleared to play. Note - this link does not automatically update. It takes 1-2 business days to manually update.
- Team gear will be available to purchase at the start of the season. Uniforms will be given out before the first contest.
More questions - please check out our Frequently Asked Questions Document or contact Sara/David at any time. |

High School Sailing Boot Camp: an intensive camp for returning and new sailors who want to prepare for the upcoming Fall High School Sailing Season. Thirteen boats will be on the water challenging each other to up their skills! Boot Camp will push each sailor to their limits; boat handling will be perfected, starts will be practiced over and over until everyone is on the line, rules of racing will be learned, tactics vs. strategy will be understood. And just when you thought you were tired, we will be working on our physical fitness and strength building specific to sailing. But most importantly we will be having a lot of fun, while pushing and supporting each other to be the best that we can be. The camp is August 15-19, 9am – 3 pm, with a lunch break. $750 non-members / $600 members Registration: https://theclubspot.com/register/camp/1voIi3qvWC/class |

Sailors must have at least two weeks of dinghy sailing experience in the year prior to the start of this intensive. If you believe your sailor is at the right level, but has not sailed in the last year, please send a sailing resume to bharrill@stfyc.com for confirmation. If the camp oversubscribes, priority will be given to those who plan to try out for StFYC supported High School Teams. ** Participation in Bootcamp does not guarantee a spot in our High School Program High School Evaluations Our club sports (Sailing + Skiing) both require previous experience for team selection. For High School Sailing Evaluations EVERYONE who wants to participate on their High School Sailing Team must attend one time slot. There are 10 spaces available per time slot. It is important that everyone is evaluated. The size of a team changes every year, so no spot on a team is guaranteed. Registration Link: https://theclubspot.com/register/camp/04lbAPYKGt/class |

MEET OUR NEW HEAD STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH: BRYANT SHARIFI |
| Coach Bryant joins the Jaguars with a unique focus for our student-athletes: specific sports performance, mental training, injury prevention. He has dozens of certifications in the health field, as well as a BS in Kinesiology & Sports Psychology from Western Washington University and working to complete his Master Degree in Applied Sport and Performance Psychology. Bryant will bring his collegiality and expertise to bring our program to the next level! "I was extremely energetic as a young child, and because of this, my parents thought sports would be a great outlet for me. At the age of 5, they signed me up for T-ball, soccer, and basketball. Although I was young, I knew I found my passion in sports, and more importantly, I grew a love for teamwork. Years later, it was only fitting for me to major in Exercise Science and eventually pursue my master's degree in Applied Sport and Performance Psychology so that I can help people "Perform for Life". Today, my devotion to sport and human performance lives on by coaching athletes and working professionals who have goals to improve their mindset, athleticism, and holistic health. |
My philosophy is that the body follows the mind. When training the mind, I take a person-centered approach that focuses on building motivation from within. When training the performer, I take a comprehensive approach to build a balanced athlete." Coach Anto will be continuing on to work with our student-athletes as well. With both on staff, we have a dream team of Performance Training Coaches! |
