News and reflections from International High School.
It is hard to believe that we are just two days away from our February break and the beginning of our 2020 Global Travel Program! Please join me in wishing Bon Voyage to our students leaving for Oman and Senegal at the end of the week.
Those of you who were lucky enough to attend our Winter Concert last month probably noticed the quality of the performances and the level of professionalism that characterized the event. International High School's music program is getting stronger and stronger under the leadership of our new music teacher, Alistair Hamilton, and this is only the beginning!
Tomorrow, more than fifty of our students, mainly freshmen and sophomores, will be taking the AMC (American Math Competition) during the first two periods of the day. We are all very pleased that so many decided to participate and we wish them the best of luck.
We are now two days away from the end of semester 1. This will be our second year reporting on our set of twelve standards, and I hope this information will help students realize that most of the skills they are acquiring in high school are actually trans-disciplinary and apply to all of their subject areas.
