From the Athletic Director
Welcome to Athletics at International High School
International is proud to offer a well-rounded athletics program founded upon excellence, innovation and pride. In their pursuit of excellence, Jaguar student-athletes face challenges that complement the academic experience by teaching time-management skills and reinforcing the value of persistence, hard work and collaboration. The sense of pride our students experience on the field not only facilitates a robust school spirit, but also helps create tremendous self-confidence that endures long after the season ends. Whether our teams are vying for state titles or learning the basics of competition, we believe that all students benefit from the type of self-improvement and camaraderie that only athletics can provide.
Here at International, our athletics department promotes inclusivity, and boasts a diverse program offering that supports novice athletes and future college standouts alike. With over ten sports and seventeen teams to choose from, more than half of our student body participates in at least one athletic discipline. Jaguar student-athletes also enjoy a host of excellent resources such as the Jaguar Performance Lab, Student-Athlete Leadership Development, tailored strength and conditioning programs, vertical alignment and access to a full-time certified trainer and nutritionist, not to mention unique spirit events like fan buses and exclusive promotions.
Our motto is Build. Believe. Achieve. We are dedicated to offering an innovative athletic experience that cannot be emulated, though many will try. The Jaguar culture is one in which student-athletes have the courage to set ambitious goals and work harder than ever to achieve them, because they know they can trust in the support and structure of both their teammates and coaches, win, lose or draw. We at International believe that this team culture creates a sense of community spirit on campus and remains a source of institutional pride for our alumni. And as far as we're concerned, we're just getting started.
