How to Apply

Thank you for you interest in International High School.  The school is fully enrolled for the 2017-2018 academic year and we are no longer accepting applications.

The application process for the 2018-2019 academic year will begin in August. The steps and events listed below will be updated on August 28, 2017.

Step 1 - Inquire

Express your interest with an online inquiry.  The inquiry will be available on August 28.

Step 2 - Register for an Event

International hosts three Open House events for students and families. Our Open Houses showcase the IB Diploma and French Baccalaureate and provide an overview of the school's athletic, arts, and extra-curricular programs and an opportunity to meet our faculty, current students, and families.

Parents/Guardians may also sign up for an information session and campus tour. This session is hosted by our Principal Joel Cohen and Dean of Admission, Andrew Brown.

Step 3 - Schedule a Shadow Visit and Interview

The student shadow visit is a half-day visit which includes a campus tour with a member of the Admission Team and participation in two classes.

An interview is required of all applicants.

Step 4 - Register for a Standardized Test

Our school code for the SSAT is 3274 and for the ISEE is 052943. We also accept the following tests: CTP 4, CTBS, SAT 9, and CAASPP. The IELTS or TOEFL (our code is 8841) is required for non-native English speakers who are applying to the international section. The following minimum scores are recommended for successful integration to a rigorous academic program in which English is the primary language of instruction.  IELTS: 6.0-6.5. TOEFL: 94 (internet-based test), 45 (paper-based test).

Step 5 - Distribute Recommendation Forms

Separate recommendation forms need to be completed by the following:

  • Your current Principal/Counselor

Please ensure that you give the forms and addressed, stamped envelopes to your teachers early so they can be submitted by the deadline.
