About the program

The members of the college counseling office have developed extensive knowledge, much of it first-hand, of highly selective colleges and universities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and beyond. While the first “official” step in the college application process is taking the PSAT in October of 10th grade, we have many group and individual meeting opportunities throughout the student's four years of high school to help our families with the entire process—from standardized testing to college financial aid. We also use Naviance, the state-of-the-art college selection and application tool, to help students stay informed and organized.

Our College Counselors help students integrate the college investigation and application process in their lives. Students learn organization and planning techniques, how to craft an exceptional college essay, and effective approaches to self-assessment and self-presentation. Students learn how to prepare a college file, remain realistically optimistic, manage stress, and avoid the hype.
